Sharon Jordan
Founder / Director
Hello, I’m Sharon Jordan — a dedicated mother of five, grandmother of 21, and great-grandmother of six. Born in a small town in Missouri and raised in a close-knit community in Kansas, I am the second of nine children. Growing up in a large family instilled in me the values of community, perseverance, and compassion.
With over 40 years of experience in the nursing field, my passion has always been to help and nurture others. Throughout my career, I’ve taken many young people into my home, guiding them toward a brighter future. I believe everyone has potential, no matter their circumstances, and I strive to see the good in every individual I encounter.
My journey led me to become a chaplain at our local jail and one of the leaders at House of Prayer Church of the Living God. Inspired by the challenges my grandson faced in the judicial system and the school system, I founded *Solomon’s Journey*, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering young men who have fallen through the cracks. Our goal is to provide mentorship, support, and tools to help them succeed and walk a path of hope and achievement.
While Solomon’s Journey primarily focuses on young men, I am committed to helping women as well, offering support and guidance to those in need. My educational journey took me from Manhattan, Kansas, to Florida, where I earned my CNA certification and continued my studies to better serve my community.
As a single mother, I raised my children with faith and perseverance, and I am proud to see them all thriving today. My lifelong mission is to serve the underserved, underprivileged, and overlooked — helping them find their strength and purpose through compassion and action.
